AIG will struggle to find buyers?

American International Group are said to struggle in the future with finding a potential buyer. After the US government bailing them out last year, it’s been a rocky roller coaster for the insurer. AIG cannot simply offer the benefits of such a buy out due to this costing more money. They may have to rebrand the company to appeal to potential buyers and be like other insurers out there that are getting a better company image.

Volvo say that truck accidents could be a thing of the past with their latest technology.

Already a safe vehicle, the Volvo truck is continuing to amaze people with the technology embedded in its Trucks. For example, the V2V or Vehicle to Vehicle system is already in development, claiming that eventually the vehicles will be able to communicate with each other and detect collisions in order to make the necessary movements to avoid an accident.

Another technology in production is the digital co-pilot scheme where a driver is guided by what to do if he or she should lose control or how to handle particular road challenges. Volvo trucks already use a breathalyser tester before the driver can even start the truck.

Vegetables + Chocolate = Racing Car?

Thats right, made of renewable materials, this racing car costs £300,000 and consists of brakes made from cashew nuts, a front wing built from potatoes and a steering wheel made from carrots.

Having only been tested at 60mph in a university car park, the car cannot be used for racing due to not meeting regulations. These state that a car must run on petrol, however this car manages to run… on chocolate.

Van maker, LDV have been given a bridging loan of £5 million from the government literally hours before they were about to go into administration.

It will take at least 4 weeks before Weststar, a Malaysian manufacturer completes the purchase.

This purchase means that for now the Midlands-based company remains for now.
