Recently announced by BMW, the 5 Series Gran Turismo combines the sheik looks from the coupe BMWs and the luscious interior from a series 7 model. The 550i GT model kicks out over 400bhp and reaches 0-60 in 5 and a half seconds, unleashing the power of its 5 litre V8. Unfortunately the top speed is limited electronically at 155Mph and comes with the new 8 speed gearbox, as shipped with all BMWs nowadays.

The most you can spend on a rear wing, body section and cover for the engine is around £4,000. The rest of the parts vary from £175 upwards. A good idea for a team not performing that well this season.

The most thrilling 24 hour nurburgring to date with 7 Porsche cars finishing in the top 10. Timo Bernhard (Germany), Marc Lieb (Germany), Romain Dumas (France) and Marcel Tiemann (Monaco) are the guys that put the 480bhp gt3 in the top spot. With the lapped Audi R8 finished second and the sister porsche managing 3rd. It was the fastest nurburgring race in history and porsche have now won it 4 times in a row. The full finishing list is:

According to breaking news, car manufacturers Rolls Royce and McLaren are said to be creating up to 1000 new jobs in just Britain alone. McLaren are said to be pushing plans for producing more high powered sports cars on a more regular basis. Rolls Royce however are creating the jobs to help push production for the next ‘Rolls Royce Ghost’. On top of this they are making more jobs available at their headquarters based in West Sussex. Its a good time for the British automotive industry!
