To help with any questions you may have regarding Car Insurance we have set out a list of ten frequently asked questions and answers. These questions and answers are for illustrative purposes. Conditions, exclusions and limitations apply to these policies please see the full policy for details.

Can I obtain immediate cover?

Yes we can provide immediate cover by visiting the office or calling within the hours of 9am to 7pm Mon-Friday and Saturday 9am - 1pm. If you require immediate cover you will need to pay a deposit on a credit or debit card. Immediate cover does not affect your cancellation rights under the policy.

What are the main differences between Third Party Fire & Theft and a fully Comprehensive policy?

Third Party Fire & Theft, much like it sounds covers you if your vehicle is subject to a fire or a theft and also covers you for any third party damage you cause to others and their property. It does not cover you for any damage you cause to your own car, for example reversing into a post or driving into a curb.

Fully Comprehensive provides the same cover as third party fire and theft and addition to this will also cover your windscreen and any accidental damage you cause to your vehicle.

If I take a policy with you today when will I receive my documentation?

All documents are posted to clients within 5 working days.

What document do I need from my old insurers to prove No Claims Bonus?

Your previous insurer would have sent you a renewal notice which confirms the bonus level you are entitled to, alternatively we are able to contact your insurers on your behalf to qualify the no claims bonus situation. If you would like us to take care of your NCB request call our administration department on 0845 658 6587 and provide your previous insurer details and policy number and we will take care of the rest.

My car has been modified, will you still insure me?

YES Broadsure Direct are able to quote all vehicles including Japanese and German imports. As there are so many variations of modification it’s always best to check with us first before you buy. I have brought a new car, but I still have my old one, can I insure both vehicles until one is sold?

Yes we are able to extend your exiting policy for both vehicles for a short period of time, usually on a 14 day basis, however, there will be a moderate charge for the second vehicle.

I am still currently a provisional license holder; can I get a quote for me and my Dad to sit next to me while I learn?

Yes we offer competitive car quotations for learner drivers and always welcome a parent on the policy.

I have a foreign License can I still get a quotation from you?

Yes we have schemes for foreign license types, and are happy to accommodate our only stipulation is, you are a UK resident within the country longer than six months.

I have a fully Comprehensive policy does this mean I am insured to drive other cars?

No although driving other cars or D.O.C is common on a Comprehensive policy never assume you automatically have this cover. If you feel you need it then let us know and we will apply for a DOC extension if you do not already have it!
