While widespread adoption remains some distance away, many experts believe the lessons learned from robotaxi services will help shape the future of commercial transport.

A few years ago, the debate centred on whether autonomous vehicles would ever leave the testing phase.


Today, the discussion is increasingly about how large these services can become, where they can operate, and how society adapts to them.
