Severely damaged pub exterior with debris and torn insulation beside the sign NEW INN on a grey street.

A massive workplace dispute culminated in a South Wales courtroom this week after a local man was sentenced to 40 months in prison for a highly destructive village rampage.

The 35-year-old individual, reportedly flying into a rage following the dispute, went to a nearby family farm and stole a heavy, vintage bulldozer.

He then sent a text message to the landlord of the New Inn pub in the usually quiet village of Rhigos, warning him to "be careful" because he was about to turn the establishment into a "drive-through".

Under the influence of alcohol, he drove the massive earthmover down the main road, completely crushing a parked Isuzu truck and a trailer before repeatedly ramming the pub's front porch.

Witnesses watched in horror as he bypassed a civilian roadblock by simply driving directly over the top of the vehicles.

The £22,000 demolition spree was only stopped when the driver's own father arrived in an excavator digger to physically smash the bulldozer's instrument panel and disable the machine.

The driver pleaded guilty to criminal damage, dangerous driving, and recklessly endangering life.
